How do I join the Word of the Year Party? (Step One)

The Word of the Year Party is hosted by Jennifer Liss and takes place the day before this workshop. You’ll choose your word during her live event. You can sign up for her free Word of the Year Party here: Link to Jennifer’s event

The Ink Your Word workshop is designed as a gentle follow-up, a way to bring the word you chose to life with ink.

 

What if I missed the Word of the Year Party or chose my word somewhere else?

You’re still very welcome here. As long as you have a word you’d like to focus on for 2026, this workshop will meet you exactly where you are.

What do I need to bring?

Keep it simple:

  • Any pen/pencil you like (or make it colourful with your favourite markers)
  • A few sheets of paper

No special calligraphy supplies needed. Faux calligraphy is designed to be accessible and beginner-friendly.

 

I’ve never done calligraphy before, is that okay?

Absolutely. This is not about perfect lettering or artistic skill.You’ll be guided step by step, and messy counts. Calm is the goal.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, please do! Feel free to share the sign-up link with a friend who has a Word of the Year and would enjoy a calm, creative follow-up.

 

Will there be a replay?

Yes. A replay will be available if you can’t join live or would like to revisit the practice later.
