Meet Angie

Calm is a form of power… and creativity is how we access it.

Calm, Creativity, & Connection ~

One Stroke at a Time

I turned my own burnout into beauty with calligraphy. Now I help others do the same.

I Know What Burnout
Feels Like

After 32 years as a nurse, I was stressed, exhausted, and always caring for everyone but myself. I craved a way to slow down, but I didn’t know how.

Frazzled, over-giving, no time for me

I spent years showing up for everyone else — patients, coworkers, family — but my own needs never made it to the top of the list. I told myself I was fine, even when I was running on empty. The truth? I had forgotten what it felt like to simply breathe without urgency.

Too much stress, too many screens

Every day felt like a cycle of busyness — rushing, scrolling, answering, reacting. Even my downtime didn’t feel restful. My mind was always on, and my body was always in go-mode. I needed a way to unplug from the noise and reconnect with something real.

Guilt about self-care

When I finally did try to rest, I felt guilty. Taking time for myself felt selfish. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t keep pouring from an empty cup. I needed permission to pause — and eventually, I realized I was the only one who could give it to myself.

Then I Found Calligraphy.

What started as a hobby became my lifeline. With each stroke of the pen, I slowed my breathing, quieted my thoughts, and felt myself relax. Calligraphy became more than pretty writing — it became meditation in motion.

From Nurse to
Calligraphy Coach

Now I combine my background in healthcare with my passion for creativity to help others find calm. Through workshops, talks, and resources, I teach calligraphy as a mindful, screen-free reset for anyone who feels overwhelmed.

What Clients Say

Let me tell you something about Angie Bailey. She is an incredible human I had the pleasure of connecting with online during the pandemic when I was looking to bring back my love of calligraphy.

Angie created a beautiful space, mostly for nurses to give them a calm space as she is a retired nurse, and I found her online and joined her Calming Calligraphy group. I have not yet had the chance to meet Angie in person, but I can tell you that she is a beautiful, kind soul and I can’t wait to meet her.

Angie is such a wonderful instructor. She showed us all how using the pointed pen technique can be accessible, calming and fun! She taught me to embrace being a beginner and enjoy the process. Now I’m using Calligraphy on a regular basis and look forward to future opportunities. I highly recommend Angie!

Taking Angie’s Calming Calligraphy Course was one of the best investments I’ve made in myself. I’ve always thought Calligraphy was beautiful, but I never knew it was something I could actually learn how to do. I followed Angie’s videos on Instagram for a year before I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out myself. Not only did Angie make it so easy to learn, but she also added that mindfulness piece that I need so much.

Angie has a calming demeanor, a kind heart, and a great sense of humour. I highly recommend Angie to anyone not only wanting to learn a gorgeous, creative skill but also looking for a bit more peace and presence in their everyday life.

See Angie In Action

I believe self-care isn’t selfish — it’s survival. You don’t need to be an artist to be creative, and you absolutely deserve a ritual that brings you a little peace in a world that never stops buzzing. Calligraphy is how I live that truth every day, one slow, mindful stroke at a time… and I’d love to share it with you.
